I spent a wonderful long holiday weekend with my family at the lake. The weather was subpar and in an act of desperation for something fun to do, I asked my niece Jane if she would let me take her picture, to which she cheerfully obliged. We went into town and bought some vintage jewelry, hats and other stuff for props from the local antique shop. All dolled up with a little makeup and hair styling done by yours truly, we stepped outside into the wind and sun. The second I snapped the shutter, I no longer saw Jane as the newborn I took photos of for a college photography project, or the quiet, sweatshirt wearing, hair pulled back, nose-in-a-book teenager that she has grown to be. Nope, she suddenly transformed into a stunning young woman right before my very eyes. Amazingly photogenic and beautiful inside and out. And, oh boy, did she know how to work the camera (to which she credits watching episodes of America's Next Top Model). ;)

Spring Fever
Tons of little ones celebrating milestones and a couple of newbies. Thoroughly enjoying the garden walks with these cuties and being out in the sunshine and warm temps. Here's some picks of my faves from last week. :)
